Today has seriously been one of the best days off ever. Due mostly to the fact that Mark also had today off. Two days of Valentines? Yes, please.

No, but really…it was just nice to spend the day together.

Last night was full of delicious seafood, wine and champagne, so needless to say, when we woke up this morning we were certainly in a do nothing today kind of mood. Made justifiable by the fact that it has been raining all day.

We were up early (probably because we passed out early last night…champagne and wine) so I cooked up some t-bone steak and eggs for breakfast with half of a valentines caramel apple. After that, we watched the newest episode of Being Human (how does this show get better with EVERY SINGLE new episode?) and then Mark played some Star Wars while I did the girly geek thing and watched Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part One. No judging.

Despite many reviews, I actually really like this film. I think Eclipse was great and probably better because of the awesome fight scenes and such, but I really feel that Director, Bill Condon pulled the best performances yet out of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner in Breaking Dawn. The movie is a bit slow at points, but I liked it.

Mark and I decided to get out of the house for a while, so we headed out to Target. Since Valentine’s day candy is so cheap today, Mark got me my Valentines while we were there.

I got him some as well.

And a Lego Darth Vader pen for his desk.

He also got me a green nerdy shirt. I needed one anyway for Wondercon. Day 2 is Patty’s day and my birthday eve.

We loved this shirt…and its green.

And we stocked up on some Avenger’s as well. This was more of a gift for us!

We had lunch at Jersey Mike’s for the first time. We split one jumbo original Italian Mike’s way with pickles. It was so good. We will be going back again in the near future.

When we got back home, I watched the special features on the Twilight blu-ray (I am a special features/making of junkie) and Mark played more on the computer.

Around 6:30pm UPS finally arrived. I had been waiting for this all day.

THINKGEEK!!!!!

I mentioned last week that I broke Mark’s Dalek coffee mug. Well, I got him another one, along with some bacon mayonnaise….and when I saw that I had TONS of thinkgeek points from all of my Christmas shopping, I decided to cash them in for free stuff. But I had to spend 30 bucks to do it. So I got myself a TARDIS mug.

I ordered a lightsaber candlestick holder with the free points.

Isn’t it romantic?

We finished the day off with the rest of the steak, stuffed clams, baked asparagus and a salad. Candlelight meal…of course.

And then I FINALLY got to see Captain America. It is way good. I loved it!

But, it made me wanna watch Thor.

So, I am going to do that now. A perfect end to perfect (nerdy) day.
