Comic-Con Day!

Yesterday was a beautiful day in the world of nerdom. One of those blissful, perfect moments in time when everything is right in the universe.

Yesterday was comic-con day. Or should I say, yesterday was comic-con professionals day. Since my professional status was only verified last year, this is the first year that I was able to register guests as well, so myself, my husband, and my good friend all got tickets for all 4 days plus preview night!

I am so excited.

The process was so smooth this year. Finally! The experience was extra rad because I didn’t have to deal with the insanity that is comic-con ticket buying.
I did hear that a few of my friends had some difficulty, but I was ready to go at the computer the minute the clock turned to 10:00 and I got through to tickets immediately.

Five minutes later, I had my confirmation emails and a bounce in my step. =) Comic-Con!

I have a few posts planned this week. I know my posting has been sporadic lately, but there have been some amazing new developments as of late, especially with Dungeon Master.

I am so happy with the shows progression and my new role in the theatre company. I will have some big announcements soon!

I’ll be back tomorrow with an update to the wedding page as well.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Are you going to Comic-Con this year? Have your passes yet?

When Nerds Wed: Special Delivery

Guess what was waiting for me when I got home from work tonight?

Our wedding invitations!!!

I am so excited. They look INCREDIBLE and I cannot wait for the last items to arrive so I can start putting everything together and addressing the invites.

I won’t be mailing them out until March (and as such will not be doing the big reveal until after that) but I might as well take my time with getting them ready so everything looks perfect. :)

Mark loves them too!

They are fantastic and everything I could have ever wanted. :)

Catching Up To Reality

Published on May 19, 2012, by in WonderCon.

It is nice to finally be all caught up on blog. The WonderCon posts took so much out of me. I loved writing them, but before Comic Con, I would like to try to find a better android blog posting app so that I can post daily blogs from the convention. It is too hard to come back from a crazy weekend like that, and expect to blog the experiance well. Whatever you say can not do justice to the event, especially when you have to wait to post.

Also, the fact that we became engaged right at the end of the Convenetion added to my delay.

For the past two months, I have been engaged to the most wonderful man that I have ever known. In the whirlwind that followed, I somehow neglected to share that wonderful story. Being so back logged on WonderCon blog posts only delayed the propsal story longer. I didn’t feel like I could share the details until I told you how we got to that point…so that was why I waited so long. It almost felt like the proposal story best followed the WonderCon wrap up as a climax.

That’s all in the past now. I finished the WonderCon wrap up and finally posted the nerdtastic proposal story. And in the next few days, I am excitied to start sharing all of the wonderfully nerdy wedding details.

Back on the Con front however, I forget to mention that I was accepted to receive a Comic Con Professionals badge. This means that I now have four days of access to the con, plus the preview night. I also was able to get a refund for the two tickets I already purchased.

I was not able to get Mark a guest pass however. Total bummer. This means that unless we can find a friend with an extra professional pass or something, we will still only be going for the two original days.

It isn’t that big of a deal. At least now I know I can get a professional badge again next year, and I get my 80 bucks back…so that’s fun!

We have a big couple of months coming up. A trip to PA to begin planning the wedding in one month (one month from Today, in fact). Then we have Comic Con in July. One month after that we are grtting married in Las Vegas, and in October I am going back to Florida to be in my good friend Tina’s wedding.

Talk about a whirlwind.

Tonight I get off work early. So I am going to meet a friend for dinner and drinks.

Any bloggers out there have advice for a better blogging app I can download for my android. I’m not a fan of the WordPress app because you can only add pictures at the beginning or end of the post and not through out. Any advice would be appriciated.

So About That Rock I’ve Been Hiding Under…

Published on April 3, 2012, by in Uncategorized.

I know. I know. I fell off the face of the planet.

Sorry about that.

After our amazing weekend away and Mark’s perfect proposal…things got a bit hectic.

I still owe you posts on both day two and three of WonderCon, and I have a MASSIVE giveaway. But I sort of feel like ever since we got home from Anaheim, that there just isn’t enough time for anything.

Working two jobs doesn’t help either.

I still have not even sorted through all the swag I acquired at the Con, though I CAN tell you that the give away will consist of MANY comic books, a poster or two, some pins, buttons and other fun surprises. For the indie nerd, this should be awesome.

I have been so happy since the proposal. Not only did he give me the perfect ring…but also the perfect proposal after a perfect birthday weekend. My life has been a little too hearts and butterflies since that wonderful night, and I have been spending too much time looking at dresses and possible venues in PA to squeeze in much in the way of blogging.

Sorry for that…

Here is the good news: the proposal was super Nerdy (more on that later), and the wedding is going to be even more so. I hope that my wedding posts will at least keep you entertained since they are going to be so geeky in nature (even the ring is amazingly nerd-tastic).

I promise to be back tomorrow with a WonderCon Day Two wrap up.

A Nerdy Thing Happened When I Walked Out On Stage

The Write Act Rep Theatre, normally mostly black from walls to floor, is decked out for Geeks: The Musical.

I have not seen the show yet, but they are doing a few numbers as an opening act for us tonight. It’s a musical comic con and after yesterday’s ticket sales, I was very amused by the set.

Looking forward to the opening act.

The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes

Published on March 2, 2012, by in Uncategorized.

This is the new television series I have starting watching. I’m sure I will fly through this, just like I always fly through great nerdy shows.

I am really starting to get excited for the new “Avengers” film this summer. Yesterdays exciting new Leap Day “Avengers” trailer only made my anticipation grow.

So, last night after work, we fired up netflix and started the show. Yesterday we watched the Iron Man and Thor episodes. Today we have moved onto The Incredible Hulk.

If you have not seen it yet, you should. It’s brilliant.

True to the new stuff, I still seem to prefer Thor. I think I’m a sucker for the hammer. LOL. Or the hair.

Who is your favorite Avenger?

Boys Will Be Loud…Apparently

Boyfriend’s are noisy.

This isn’t something they tell you when you sign up, but they are loud. I just thought I would share this casual observation.

Mark just came home from work, and one of the other managers brought him home since he was working all the way in Santa Monica tonight, and he doesn’t drive. But his co-worker came upstairs to see our apartment (it’s pretty rad, and super nerdy), and now Mark is showing him all of the videos that are on the menu for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

It’s cool. I get his desire to share. I mean, those three videos are better than the entire new trilogy. But why do they have to be so loud. I was just being lazy on the couch, trying to watch some TV. Only, I can’t hear my show anymore and so I have been driven into the bedroom.

My first Being Human review on this weeks episode, “The Ties That Blind” is almost ready for posting. I could actually finish it up and get it launched before midnight, but at this point, I think it better to just wait until tomorrow morning. No sense launching an American TV review when the whole country is asleep.

I had today off, and aside from getting in some serious SWTOR playing time, I’ve actually been pretty cranky all day. Its fine. I was off all day and sequestered in my apartment with no one to see me lash out, but it didn’t make for a very productive afternoon. I feel like I spent a LOT of time looking at nonsense on the internet.

Oooh! I did get some news about Comic Con registration today. YAY!

And I found out my friend Chris voices on of the characters in the new street fighter game. I did not know that. So, good job, Chris. His launch party was tonight.

Okay, TV is free again. Yay! See you tomorrow with my review. :)

The Tale Of the Three Brothers…

Published on February 29, 2012, by in movies.

This is totally amazing to me. I just never saw this. Now when in read the books, and not when I saw the movie.

Did JK plan to make Snape a relation to the second brother?

I would love to hear your thoughts on this. We already know that Harry and Tom Riddle were related to the Peverell’s. So…was Snape as well.

If not, this is still beautifull parallelism for the story, but I would love to hear your thoughts?

Oh My God Of Thunder…!!!

What a wonderful Leap Day morning.

I awoke to a facebook message left by my nerdy friend Dana (Of Being Fans) and it set the bar for the rest of the day.

I NEED to share this wonderful trailer with you all now. It is truly a trailer that is worthy of a day that only comes around every four years…

The Avengers!
