WonderCon Countdown Continues…

Hey…you know what we haven’t talked about in a while?

9 DAYS UNTIL WONDERCON!

I am only mildly excited. ;)

They finally released the schedule for the upcoming Con, and though I have not been able to design my personal plan, I am excited about many of the panels and events.

The Exhibition Map has also been great to stare at.

I am also deciding if I should wear my Game of Thrones Halloween Daenerys costume for the masquerade on Saturday.

I LOVE the costume, but it’s pretty itchy. :(

No matter what I decide, it’s sure to be a blast. I already have my nerdy t-shirts washed and ready to go. I even got my nerdy thinkgeek tank ready for my WonderCon jog. I am running a 5K the following weekend, after all.

Alright, well…time for work. But only 9 days until vacation, so I can deal with it. :)

Winter is Staying….

So, I may be a little behind the times, but I just wanted to pop in and see if you all heard the verdict from our four legged friend, Punxsutawney Phil yesterday. It seems that the little guy did indeed see his shadow, and as Best Week Ever Pointed out, do you know what that means?

So you might want to bundle up, and tune to HBO for Season One Reruns of the hit Show, “Game Of Thrones.” We are in for six more weeks.

Late Night Ramblings, a Fansite, and a Clash Of Kings…

I never did find the time to play SWTOR tonight. I am slightly bummed. I am excited to start a new character for the purpose of the blog. I am definitely making a smuggler. I have not explored the smuggler’s starting planet at all, and it’s a different type of class than I usually play in MMO’s. Also, Sam Solo? Haha. No, I won’t name her that.

But still. Sam Solo.

In lieu of playing today, I actually cleaned out my car, organized the hall closet, (finally) put away all the Christmas decorations, and cleaned the house. Oh, and I went to work before doing all of that. So, I think it’s safe to say I had a pretty full day.

Star Wars has really prevented me from doing much else in the past few weeks, so it is a nice feeling to get things done today. I have an early doctor’s appointment tomorrow, and then I work 1 to 9:30pm, but I still plan to start the character tomorrow. Hopefully.

I think I’m actually going to climb into bed and knock out a few more pages of “City of Glass.” I read the first two books in the series in a matter of days. I really don’t know why I am having so much trouble getting into this one. It’s not bad. Maybe a little slower….

Maybe that too, is SWTOR’s fault. I should really lead a more well rounded life.  :)

Anyone out there fan’s of Being Human? I have seen the first season of the British Version, and just the first episode of the American version, but finishing the first season is on the top of my to do list. I have some thoughts that I am going to share in the coming days but in the meantime…

http://www.beingfans.net/

My super awesome, super nerdy friend Kristi Hahn and her sister Dana started a being Human Fan site that has gotten popular in a hurry. It’s Called Being Fans, and they also have a podcast that has been nominated for a Shorty Award. You should stop by their site. It’s way fun. Don’t tell her, but I am totally gonna ask Kristi to guest blog at some point. She is best.

Okay, bed for me. No Project 365 tonight. I just don’t want to. :) Oh, but I will leave you with this gem of pure awesomeness.

Minds: Prepare to be blown.

Still Sick on Day 4 of #NaNoWriMo

I’m blogging now, because I really don’t see any more words pouring into my novel tonight.

I am STILL sick. I am getting better. I can feel it. No more fever and I made it through work today, but now I have a sore throat, which I didn’t have before.

It was cold and raining and just very autumn here in LA today, which is my favorite under normal circumstances. I would go out on the roof with a cup of hot chocolate or go down to the bar for a few beers on the porch with friends and my sweater….

But no, today I am here, watching House Hunters International sipping hot tea, wrapped in blankets.

I wrote 590 words today, and most of them were about how lovely fall is in New England. And that was it. That was all I had. I’m cold, and I feel an increasing urge to go lay down.

But I WILL be healthy tomorrow, and my life and novel with be substantially improved by this.

Oh, and the Game of Thrones twitter page mentioned me today on their twitter feed for Follow Friday. I felt very important and like a twitter celebrity for five minutes. I won a poster for tweating my Daenarys costume on Halloween. Did I mention that yet?

Daenarys and her dragon

Anyway, yeah. The giant nerd inside of me was so thrilled. I will be reading more Storm of Swords before bed tonight.
